Mad Scientist

Cole wants to be a Mad Scientist when he grows up, so what better time to practice than at Halloween. On Sunday we went to Treatslvania and enjoyed a little pre-Halloween Fun!

Labor Day Weekend in Utah

This year for Labor Day we went to Utah to visit my Great Aunt Naomi. It was wonderful to see her and spend time catching up and visiting. We all had fun. we went to a Dinosaur Park, here are some of the pictures from the park.

When we were getting ready for work and school on Tuesday Cole asked if were going to go on vacation? We told him that we just got back from vacation. He said that was not a vacation because he had to do homework and take a shower everyday. Kids are so funny as to what constitutes as a vacation.

Last weekend we went up to Estes Park with our friends Mike, Angie and her girls Cheyanne and Sarah. We had a blast exploring, shopping and hanging out!

Last week Cole had to come to work with me, so I gave him some projects. One of the projects was to take pictures around the building. As I was downloading them today I saw these. I think he got bored of taking pictures of plastic parts and machines. It made for a good laugh in the middle of the day.

Lucas' 1st Birthday

Lyle's nephew just turned 1 and we all celebrated at his birthday party in Red Feather. I can't believe how fast time flies!

Valerie and her 2 kids, Joshua and Samantha, came out for a visit. We spent the week playing together, along with Valerie's friend Stephanie and her kids Jackson and Sidney.

Salamander in our office

Would you believe that we found a salamander in our office today? He was covered in cobwebs and dust, so Derek picked him up and put him in a bucket to take him outside where we washed him off and set him free.

Wednesday morning flowers

What a way to start a Wednesday morning. I went into my office and found these beautiful roses waiting for me. Gloria, my mother-in-law, cut them from her yard. Since she is gone for the next week or so, she decided to let the office enjoy them, which is pretty nice of her.

Happy 4th of July!!

We had a great 4th of July. Cole was in a neighborhood bike parade and then we went to the pool for fun and games. Cole also got to sit in the front seat of a fire truck and ring the bell, how cool is that? I know there are a lot of pictures today, but who cares? They are all fun! Enjoy

Cole's new book

Cole is involved with various summer reading programs. Here he is with the new book he earned from Barnes and Noble. It is a book that he has been wanting for a while, The Lightening Thief by Rick Riordan.
